Heading South...

With a substantial "Orizaba to do" list, John headed down to the boat on Monday to start. Great progress has the electrical gremlins we were seeing on Swiftsure apparently fixed, but not before installing all new batteries (6 total) as well as a new circuit breaker. Needless to say a pretty critical system to have faith in before heading to Hawaii... More electronics on this boat than you would imagine, not to mention the fundamentals such as instruments, lights, fridge, oh and our electric halyard winch... :) Pre-inspection #2 was on Tuesday, and Orizaba is looking good, meaning a relatively short list for the rest of us when we start arriving on Saturday and Monday. Provisioning the boat will be a priority, as well as getting some of the "cruising gear" in a container for the return delivery crew. Looks like we'll be able to have a bit more fun in San Francisco with the families, thanks John!
