Friday Update

We finally saw our first sun since leaving Newport. It rained hard with moderately strong headwinds for 36 hours or more, but we are drying out now. We are just off Pt. Delgada, California making 8.6 knots motor sailing right on the rhumbline. The forecast is for more light wind, with variations in velocity and direction depending on how far south we get. As long as our diesel holds out it shouldn't be too bad and we should arrive Saturday.

We've seen a few whales, orcas, and porpoises, but no sharks.

This is from the SSB. We'll call and post more verbose updates as we get in cell range.

Tell everyone 'hi' and that we miss and love them.

Orizaba out.
